WHEN ACCOUNTING IS NOT GIVING YOU ENOUGH

The return is lodged.
But are your questions answered?

You should not need to become an accountant to understand your business. If you are still chasing deadlines, translating reports or guessing how much cash is available, let’s address the gap.

01 · COMPLIANCE

“What is due, and who is doing it?”

BAS, tax returns, payroll and company administration can become separate loose ends. We agree the work we own, what you need to provide and how outstanding items are followed up.

02 · ADVICE

“I received an answer. I still don’t know what to do.”

A useful explanation connects the numbers to your situation. We aim to make the options, assumptions and next steps clear, rather than leaving you with technical language and more questions.

03 · VISIBILITY

“We are busy. Why does cash still feel tight?”

Sales, profit and the bank balance tell different stories. Reliable records help us look at customer payments, margins, commitments and money taken out of the business, not just turnover.

For a Norwest consulting business, professional practice or growing service team, the right support might mean a better monthly routine, a clearer tax conversation or help assessing the next hire. We start with the issue you need to solve.

LESS LAST-MINUTE SCRAMBLE

Put your compliance work
on a clearer footing.

We start by checking your business structure, records, existing arrangements and approaching deadlines. Then we agree a practical division of responsibilities.

The engagement can cover BAS and tax returns, annual financial statements, bookkeeping and agreed payroll or ASIC administration. Not every obligation applies to every business, and not every task belongs in the same package.

Already behind? Tell us what is outstanding. Historical catch-up work is assessed separately so you can see what needs fixing before the ongoing routine begins.

Review before you authoriseResolve queries, explain the work and obtain your approval before lodging.

An organised process starts with clear responsibilities on both sides.

FROM REPORTS TO BUSINESS DECISIONS

A profitable month.
A tight bank balance.
Let’s explain the difference.

Imagine a service business that has invoiced a strong month but is still waiting to be paid. Wages, loan repayments and tax commitments have not waited. A profit figure alone does not answer whether the business can afford another employee.

That is an illustrative situation, not a client result. The point is the question behind the report: what is available, what is already committed, and what needs to happen next?

Where included in your engagement, our monthly Target Pulse and review conversations bring together the main movements, record-quality issues and practical follow-up actions. If the records are incomplete, we flag the gaps rather than give you false confidence.

Deeper cash-flow forecasting, budgets and decision modelling can be separately scoped when a hiring, pricing, equipment or growth decision needs more than a routine update.

BUSINESS ACCOUNTING & TAX SUPPORT

Keep the parts that work.
Get help with the parts that don’t.

You may need an accountant alongside your existing bookkeeper, or someone to take the bookwork off your hands. We will help you choose a scope that fits the way you operate.

YOU KEEP THE BOOKS CURRENT

Stay on Top

For owners who maintain their Xero records and want accounting, tax and a person to turn to when questions arise.

  • You retain the agreed day-to-day bookkeeping and reconciliations.
  • We complete the accounting and lodgements included in your engagement.
  • Routine phone and email questions about that engagement are included.
  • Review points help surface missing information and issues needing attention.

YOU NEED THE BOOKWORK HANDLED

Books Taken Care Of

For businesses that need a more complete bookkeeping and accounting arrangement, with payroll support where included.

  • We agree the bookkeeping preparation and reconciliation work we will handle.
  • You provide the source records and explanations needed to complete the work.
  • Transaction volumes, payroll and connected systems shape the scope.
  • Reporting is based on current records, with unresolved items made visible.

Need a focused engagement instead?

Annual accounts, a business tax return, BAS preparation or a defined advisory project can be considered separately. A monthly plan is not a condition of becoming a client.

Browse one-off fees ↗

Fees, eligibility, inclusions and any historical catch-up are confirmed before work starts. Detailed advice, forecasts and work outside the agreed scope are separately quoted. Read the monthly service scope.

A PRACTICAL WAY TO GET STARTED

Changing accountants
should not create more loose ends.

01 · TALK

Tell us what is missing.

We discuss your business, current support, record condition and deadlines. Start with the question your existing process is not answering.

02 · AGREE

Know the scope and fee.

We outline the ongoing work, your responsibilities and any separate catch-up. You can decide with the inclusions and boundaries in front of you.

03 · HAND OVER

Establish the next steps.

Once engaged and authorised, we coordinate the professional handover and required access, identify unfinished work and agree the first priorities.

BEFORE WE TALK

Questions from business owners.

Do you have an office in Norwest?

No. Our primary office is at Level 25, 100 Mount Street, North Sydney. Vishal lives locally in the Hills District, and in-person meetings in the Norwest area are available by prior arrangement. Please contact us to confirm a meeting rather than attending a local address.

Can you work with my existing bookkeeper?

Yes. We can agree who maintains the records, which balances need to be reconciled and how queries are resolved. An effective bookkeeper can remain part of your team; we scope the accounting and tax work around the responsibilities each party retains.

Can you help with overdue BAS or incomplete accounts?

We can assess what is outstanding and propose a catch-up scope. The work, fee and timing depend on the records and deadlines involved. Tell us about urgent dates immediately; an enquiry alone does not mean we have accepted responsibility for a lodgement deadline.

Will you explain the numbers, or only prepare the returns?

We explain the work we undertake and include routine questions relating to your engagement. Ongoing reviews and reporting depend on your chosen service. A detailed cash-flow forecast, profitability investigation or substantial tax advice is agreed and quoted separately where needed.

Do you support companies, sole traders, trusts and partnerships?

Yes. The appropriate engagement depends on the entity, business activity and complexity. A company and its owner may need related but separate work; we clarify what is included rather than assume one fee covers every entity and return.

How much will it cost, and do I have to join a monthly plan?

Our pricing page sets out the published options, and our one-off fee guide covers focused engagements. We confirm suitability, inclusions and fees before starting. A monthly plan is an option, not a requirement.

YOUR BUSINESS. A CLEARER NEXT STEP.

What would you like your accountant
to make clearer?

A deadline, an unexplained tax bill or a decision you are not ready to make. Tell us what is happening in your Norwest business, and we will work out the right starting point.

Prefer to meet locally? Mention Norwest when you enquire. No commitment to a plan is required to start the conversation.
